FREE-COOLING SYSTEMS
We design and implement free-cooling systems to relieve refrigeration units during the autumn and winter periods. Hybrid chillers, dry coolers and evaporative cooling systems work excellently in these applications.
With continuously rising electricity prices, investing in free-cooling significantly reduces operating costs by utilizing ambient temperature – i.e. free cooling from the air.

Dry Coolers (Fan Coolers)
Dry coolers are the ideal solution where air is used as the cooling medium. The achievable medium temperature is limited to a maximum of the ambient temperature. With optional water spray systems on the heat exchangers (adiabatic cooling), even lower temperatures can be achieved. In standard operation, the medium temperature is approximately 5°C above ambient temperature.
Cooling takes place via air, with airflow generated by powerful fans. The heat from the cooled liquid is released into the atmosphere.
These units are most economically used wherever the required medium temperature is only a few degrees above the ambient temperature.
We offer dry coolers in various configurations:
- Flat design
- V-shape arrangement
- Sound-attenuated version
- With adiabatic system (water spray)
Advantages of Dry Coolers:
- No water consumption
- Significant energy savings
- Possibility of heat recovery
- Use as free-cooling for compressor systems
Available materials:
- Galvanized steel
- Stainless steel
