Evaporative cooling towers operate on the principle that ambient air is drawn in by the tower’s fan. When the air comes into contact with water sprayed through nozzles, heat exchange occurs. The warmed air exits as vapor, while the cooled water falls back into the basin of the evaporative cooling tower.
Advantages of evaporative cooling towers:
- Energy efficiency
- Simple maintenance
- Higher summer performance compared to dry coolers
Available construction materials:
- Galvanized steel
- Stainless steel
- Plastics
Types of evaporative cooling towers:
- Open cooling towers
- Closed cooling towers
- Hybrid cooling towers
